Stumbled upon Scubaboard while surfing the net looking for new tanks. This forum is great.
I am PADI AOW, Night Diver, and Nitrox and have over 200 logged dives over the past 15 years. Lately, I am averaging 2 two-tank boat dives and 1 night dive per month and am looking for a steady group to dive with / learn with. Playing pick-up (as a single) on the local boats can be a bit trying at times - especially when you get paired up with a buddy who is in-attentive to say the least --- this has me carrying a pony-bottle on most deep dives (LOL).
Anyway, if anyone in the Hollywood (S. Florida) area needs a buddy, drop me a line.

I relocated back to Hollywood, FL about 2 years ago (from Chicago) and (now that the little ones are becomming a bit more self-sufficient) have gotten back the dive bug in a big way.

Have a great day!
Vince,
Go to the Florida Conch Divers section in ScubaBoard Clubs section. We have a lot of divers in the Hollywood/Ft Lauderdale area.
Welcome to SB!! :happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.
Great news for vacation divers who cannot talk themselves into buying a personal CO tank tester!
>> Rent one for a week or longer here <<
Now let's see more CO readings in your trip reports, ok...??

Hi, Vince, and welcome. I know what you mean about pick-up. But I have had some great luck at that. Check into the "Singles" forum from time to time if you like--some of us are using it to discuss such issues. (Others use that forum as more of a dating service.)
If leading dives is herding cats, is leading training dives herding Schrodinger's cats?
And the SB Politeness Award goes to . . . Doc Vikingo, for "I find this assertion not compelling." The measure of a good dive plan is its impermeability.
Poor dive plans, on the other hand, tend to be water-soluble.
Heya and welcome to the Board. There's a whole slew of us S.FL divers on the board. I don't usually make down to hollywood all that often but more of the West Palm Beach area. Anytime we're diving your welcome to come along. Also, Florida Conch Diver's always have something going on, there's a dive this weekend in your area for singles!!
