Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Nope! I don't have that problem. I decidedly prefer SCUBA.

Just do both! Nothing wrong with that.

Don't forget to fill out your profile, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Yes, yes you are in the right place!!! Welcome to the board, you will find lots of very informative forums with great & friendly people here.

There is no need in making a decision between the two... go ahead and do both. There is nothing wrong with enjoying two great sports related to water.

Make sure you give us more information about you in your profile, that way we can provide better responses to your post and you can be part of what members of the board in your area have going on.

lots of safe diving,
Maria

Welcome to Scubaboard! No need to choose between the two. I've never tried freediving, so I don't have to choose.

Howdy

Yep, you're in the right place, I think. As you can see, we are a Scuba Board, but you'll find folks of both sports here. Check this link:

FreeFloat:
I've been freediving since before I was certified. I am the Eastern Regional Women's Champion here in Ontario and I believe I'm on the CAFA site as well with my result (though you have to look waaaaaaay down the list, heh)

I get together with a few other freedivers from Toronto here and during the summer we do regular constant ballast sessions at a site that goes down to 95' or so. In winter we book a pool for statics and sometimes dynamics as well.

My PBs aren't that great, but then I started only last year..... CB is 60', dynamic with fins is 136', static 2:08 (that was set a loooooooooong time ago and I likely can do better but haven't done static training since the ERC)

I also play underwater hockey twice a week.

I'm on the DeeperBlue forums as well, as FreeFloat.

But I hope to get to know you around the forums. Yet - do complete your Profile, as it'll help in discussions.

Hello. Since 1977 I'm split between scuba and free diving. And still can't choose - which is number one. Is there anybody on this forum with the same problem :06:

Hello from Matt,

Welcome to ScubaBoard ! :1poke: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :snorkels:

Welcome to the board. We are pretty much die-hard scuba here.

Welcome Aboard!!!

It's addictive, but who cares?!?!?

Good friends and good info. What could be better???

P.S. - If you have not already done so, please fill out your profile.

It is okay to do both. And YES, you are in the right place.
