I just don't log dives
I found this site by mistake while looking for some gear reviews. I'm very impressed none the less. My first experience with the world of diving was in Australia in 1997 where I did a day of ssnorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. A seven year laps of time passed until I reacquainted myself with diving. This time, I had choosen SCUBA diving for my gym class at CEGEP but unfortunately the course didn't come with the certification. Since that moment, I haven't been able to get diving out of my mind.

I am now studying in Chicoutimi, at the CQFA a flight school giving a college degree in piloting, where I met an ACUC Advenced Instructer with whom I complete my Open Water Diver, Advanced Diver and Dry suit qualifications. I'm planing on doing my rescue Diver next year to finaly end up as a Dive Master or Open Water Instructor so that I'll be able to go work in the Caribbeans when the flying season is over.. I've been diving at the Lac Clair and the Escoumins, the two more-or-less local diving spots, the later being the nicest dive stop in Quebec. I'll have some pictures up shortly since I'm going diving tomorrow at the Escoumins.

No experience needed and it feels great!

Heya Falco, welcome to the Board and into scuba. This is a great place to find out "real" information on what you might need. Best wishes to you.

Cheers,
Vickie

WELCOME to ScubaBoard!!!
I took a look at your web site, I might be pretty lame for saying so, but what stood out to me were the three dimensional smilies advertised there. Don't tell DandyDon about them or we're doomed!
Welcome to the ADDICTION!
Good to have you here.

STOCK MESSAGE
Hmm. Maybe.
This is a great place to meet people, talk about diving, and get information on just about any aspect of diving -or other subjects sometimes- that you can think of. Roaming through the forums is great help for me.
Now get wet with us and dive into the forums to ask questions, answer those that you can and even chat with folks about diving dreams and nightmares. ScubaBoard is a great place to spend your required Surface Intervals.
Again, Welcome to the greatest addiction!
It's so easy to forget the things that we love, but here at ScubaBoard, we're all doing our dead level best to maintain the highest level of SCUBA ADDICTION possible.
Please stay with us, interact, and keep your need to get wet alive!
When you post a question, be as sure as you can that it's in the right forum or you'll probably find it moved to where it can receive better attention.
The folks here are passionate about their diving, some about their specialty, so the reading can get very interesting, sometimes very hot.
Don't forget, if you haven't already done it, to fill out you profile as completely as reasonable, it'll save you being asked and having to repeat the information often.

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!
If you'll click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. At the bottom, be sure to notice the Local & Singles Dive Club forums. You'll also find the Canuk Dive Club forum down there, with various sub-forums, or just Click Here!

You've certainly had an interesting journey into Scuba. I hope I see you posting around the forums, as I'll look forward to reading more.

It would help in future diving discussions if you'd complete your Profile with your Dive Info. You can use the Quick Links in the bar above for such changes. And sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Unfortunately my dive at the Escoumins was cancelled. We got snowed in last night.

Weather is always a threat with Scuba. The most common is wind, getting "blown out," but ice and snow certainly play. They don't have much of that in the Caribbean, though.

Welcome the board! I am sure you will find a lot of new, advice, friends, discussions, info, etc here that will help you a lot! Enjoy!
