I'm new to the Scuba Board and figured the best way to start off is with a greeting right? I'm pretty new to the sport being only a level two but what's important is that I do have goals. For now I'm shooting for Divecon. I'm from Sunny Miami, FL but I'm currently living in Texas. Temporarily because I'm "married to the military." Although I prefer the warm tropical waters painted with beautiful colorful coral, the adjustment to freshwater lakes is, well, an experience I guess. I've never had to use more than a 3mm shorty until now. With water temperatures at 50 degrees this time of year a 13mm (6.5 mm long john under a 6.5 mm shorty) wetsuit is a common part of the total diving equiptment for the divers over here.
Well, It's nice to be part of the group.
P.s. Can anyone give me a little more info on becomming a Divecon?

In a study, scientists report that drinking beer can be good for the liver. I'm sorry, did I say "scientists"?
I meant "Irish people."

Great news for vacation divers who cannot talk themselves into buying a personal CO tank tester!
>> Rent one for a week or longer here <<
Now let's see more CO readings in your trip reports, ok...??
Thanks to everyone who replied to my greeting. I'm very impressed at how friendly everyone is. I feel extremely welcomed and confident in sharing questions, concerns, or just comments with all of you.
P.s. the divecon info was very helpful
