Really? I think some like the globe, and some like the picture. If it were me designing for everyone, I would have Collaged a number of pictures from Keys diving and made them look like snapshots... Duane, Bibb, Grove, reef shots (lobster, eels, fish).
Of course, that design thought didn't happen until after the contest...
The globe was something that a lot of people liked. Especially those people coming in from other countries. I think he did a great job blending the two concepts together.
