Invade the KeysA place for info, official announcements, and for SB'ers to discuss, and plan ScubaBoard's largest annual dive event: Invade the Keys! Users can feel free to post rideshares / roomates wanted / or buddies wanted posts as well in this forum. As long as it pertains to Invade the Keys - it's all good!
I have just started reviewing my above water photographs from the Keys Invasion (since I did not bring my underwater rig this trip). I will post as I can get to them the next few days.
I think it is fitting to start my retrospective with an image of our "fearless leader." Without his inspiration to develop the Scubaboard and his tireless efforts over the years, the ITK 2008 would not exist (nor would this post).
Everyone who attended knows that this event would not get off the ground without the hard work of a lot of dedicated board members. Without slighting the efforts of all who contibute to this event, a special kudos basket to Howard and Michelle.
Many have posted comments along the lines of "it is great to finally meet my board buddies." I was really looking forward to meeting Alcina. I have admired her underwater photography and her patience in managing the Scubaboard Underwater Photography Forum. Thank you for answering my granddaughter's constant questions regarding whale sharks.
There are so many people with so little self respect and leading empty lives they have nothing better to do than be mean, nasty, demanding, controlling,.... to make themselves feel better or superior. --kazie
And this is what it looked like after Michelle told everyone the story a few times.
Don't worry, Chip and Howard, we will do better next year.
---Bob
(BTW- You guys will NEVER outshoot the girls!)
