Can anyone tell me anyting about diving Lake Cumberland?? I'm getting conflicting reports regarding water clarity and whether it would be worth the trip. I hear there are submerged buildings and bridges and other cool stuff, but that the vis is so bad it's pointless. Then I hear it's crystal clear, so I'm confused. Any help would be apopreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

My advice would be to go find out for yourself if you are hearing conflicting reports.

I live in NJ and had heard the same thing about NJ wreck diving; some loved it while others hated it, so I went and found out for myself. Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed it! The vis wasn't so great, the water was cold, but I did see tons of starfish, lobster and two really cool wrecks - I will definitely dive NJ again!

But you won't know until you check it out yourself!

Safe diving!
