I dove the far side of the quarry, which is nice & even a bit shady in the morning, with my old teacher & some others. 2 Fairly short dives, one to ~ 22 feet with min. temp. 71, the other ~ 27 feet with min. temp. 66.
I'm pretty cold resistant, but that thermocline around 15 feet got really cold fast. I dove a 5 mm wet suit but no hood or gloves, and my hands got pretty badly cold. I think I'll have to plan to getting gloves...
I haven't done the treasure hunt in several years. Usually I'm working when it occurs, as was the case this year. If I had been off, I'm sure Dennis would have grabbed me to help out.
