    First dive of the year

My last dive was in October at Cerulean. Had a very good time with a couple guys I met here on ScubaBoard. Long drive but it was worth it.

Heading to Cozumel next week for some diving. Wasnt expecting to do any diving until at least May, but this is a welcome surprise. However I didn't learn until after we had booked the trip that sharks are very rare in Cozumel. Oh well.

Anyone here have their first dive trip of the year planned out?

At some point in the near future I hope to load up the gear and head to the local lake and test the drysuit repairs that were recently made. Might even see if I remember how to dive

    Cozumel sharks

    HI!
Not unless you count the famous LAND SHARKS at Carlos & Charlies - .......
Actually about 60% of the rolls I have processed (yes film still exists!) and the digital downloads/CD burns I have been doing since the first of the year have had a nurse sharks on them. A bit higher percentage than the past - but the other big boys..... pretty rare, quite a treat & if you are lucky enough t see one - remember to take an image if you have a camera in your hands! It cracks me up when people come in & tell me they saw a shark, and I ask if they took a picture, and most people's response is, "NO I WAS TOO EXCITED!! I FORGOT!"

Even without a lot of sharks, have a great time while you are here!

I had a dive planned. I am leaving for a cruise on Monday and I had planned to dive with the cruise excusrion in Belize but it got canceled. Now I have to settle for snorkeling. Oh well, its still a much needed vacation.

Made the trip to the local lake.
Drysuit boots(new) are great. So nice to be actually dry in a dry suit
Dive was to 25 feet for 26 minutes. Water temp 37F. Viz 8 to 10 inches. Saw one fingerling catfish and found one golf ball and all the usual trash. Planning on going back next Sunday unless there are obligations I don't know about. :06:
I did remember how to dive but certainly need to knock the rust off.

Do you think that you can apply the WD-40 to that rust by the time that the annual trip to the Straits happens?
