According to southern humorist Lewis Grizzard Naked means you simply don't have on any clothes. Nekkid, on the other hand, means that you don't have on clothes and you are up to something.
Lil Ronnie and the Grand Dukes also tells of being buck nekkid and sweatin'.
For me - I don't see the big deal (no pun intended) I don't need an excuse for a naked or nekkid dive.
The last day that Cypress Spring was open for business, before the water company took over, we did (you guessed it) a naked night dive. We weren't up to nothing except having fun.

Hadn't thought about it, but I'm not shy at naked beaches so I don't see why it would be different on a dive boat. I think (for the most part) people in the US are too uptight about nudity.
