Question Need to get my PADI AOW done, need closer and lower cost alternatives...

    Hi guys,
I'm way overdue to get my PADI AOW done.I would like to have it done by the end of Sept. The local shops total costs for the trip, etc. are a little too pricey right now for me in this economy. I also have the current PADI Advanced manual.
Are there some local PADI instructors that would be willing to work with me on doing the check out dives on sites that are closer and cheaper for us both?
I live in the Tucker, Georgia area.

    Thanks!

    I just don't log dives
There isn't any trip required unless your instructor doesn't want to take you to the local wet spot (or maybe can't find one deep enough).

It's hard to imagine there isn't someplace within easy driving distance, where you could get wet.

Thanks,I did. I haven't heard back from him yet.
I'm going to Panama City soon and want to finally get past my anxiety about diving deeper than 40ft. like in Lanier. This will help alot when I do my PADI AOW. I want to do one of the dives where they take you for a 4hr. dive they call them inshore dives and say a OW diver should handle them with no problem. They are in the 40-70ft. range of depths.

You can't get much closer and less expensive than White Stone Quarry (f/k/a Dive Haven) up near Cartersville. Now's the time.

The Kraken is a great source for local. Makes a mean Backplate too.
