My ex and I used to go there and snorkel a good bit....that was pre-cert. Look back on it now and think that would have been an awesome place to dive. Anyone been there? Tried that??

I started my illustrious dive career in 1995 diving with Curtain Bluff Resort off the southwest coast of Antigua. On a scale of one to ten I would rate the diving a 4 or 5. Lots of nurse sharks and lobsters and not a lot else. By the way I would rate a quarry dive as a 1 and Bloody Bay Wall, Little Cayman or Palancar Gardens, Cozumel as a 9. Antigua is mediocre at best.
My wife decided we were going on a cruise this spring break with some friends. Good friends would have chosen a dive cruise, unfortionatly it is a typical luxury liner (Norwigien Sky)
I at least plan to dive on every stop at least once. Antigua is on our trip. I hope to be able to tell you about the diving there after the trip=-)
Antiqua diving was not to impressive. It seemed to me that everything had a white wash look to it. I don't know if they had stormy weather before we got there, but the areas we went to were not too hot. We got wet on the east and south/southwest parts of the Island.
BTW: If you rent a motor cycle...watch out for puddles. Antiqua has open sewers.
Useless trivia: Antiqua is the home for most of the on-line gambling websites.
