Are you FINATICAL about sharks?
As you may already know we will be hosting the FINathon event again this year!
If it is your day off, we hope you will join us this coming Sunday to raise awareness for sharks!

Location: Chill, Sea Aquarium beach ( please use the official beach entrance)
Check in & Briefing 8.30 AM
Swim start: 9.00 AM
Swim finish: 12.00PM
Course: 500m inside the lagoon between Lions Dive and Cabana Beach
Categories: Team swim & Individual Swim

Rules 2014
Whether you can swim 1 lap or 100 laps, every lap will help to raise money for this great cause. Don’t
forget to pre-register at finathon@oceanencounters.com
Rules - There will be a start point located on the beach, this will be at Chill Beach Bar & grill. A course will be marked in the water with buoys, participants are to swim the course from the start to the turnaround buoy and back to the start to complete 1 lap. Make sure you log your lap with the designated person.You can take a rest or if you’re a swimming machine head straight back in for the next lap.
Team - For those of you who have a team together you can opt to do a relay style swim.Do you have a target you would like to reach as a team? Maybe 5km for example. Each team member will take it in turns to swim 1 or 2 laps at a time, this will allow you to take a break, catch your breath and have a drink to get some more energy for your next round. This would also be a good option for those swimmers who also have to work that day and will be doing laps between work duties.
Individual swim –Are you more of an Olympic swimmer who will just keep on going or just setting yourself a personal goal, you have a maximum of 3 hours between 9-12pm to swim your laps.
We will have an area for all participants to store any personal belongings while you are swimming.We will have refreshments available for participants on the day and a nice area for you to keep out of the sun and cool off between laps.
Sponsorship details
There are several options for you to hand in your sponsorship money.
1) You can give your sponsors the donation link: …..
2) You can deposit ( cash only) your donation during the event at one of the Ocean Encounter Personnel.
3) you can deposit your donation at the Ocean Encounter Dive Shop, located in the Lions Dive Hotel up to 31st of August
Raffle
We will also be running a raffle, tickets can be purchased on the day with some nice prizes up for grabs from our sponsors.
Please tell your friends, and get them excited about protecting the sharks, too!
