I wondered if any color marker light (glowsticks or battery marker light) was better to see for night dives.

Is blue better visible? Is orange better visible? Does it not matter at all?

Just wondering if anyone had a for sure answer.

Deuces, My personal experience is with green, yellow, and red. On the night dives I have done where chem sticks have been used the most noticeable from a distance have been the green ones. Not sure why other than a bright green light under water seems just so weird to me that it immediately attracts my attention. While I don't believe they were actually brighter than the others they just seemed more noticeable. Having said that I myself use red led blinking marker on my tank. BTW my son is at the presidio in monterrey. He's a certified ow diver but has not had time to hit the water yet.

Thanks Jim. Hopefully your son gets in soon. Must be hard to see the ocean right there all the time and not be able to get wet. I heard DLI keeps you busy most days as it is.
