Help with salvo 21w hid cannister latch

i recently sold another hid light to another member and was shocked to find out that one of the pins holding the latches have come undone. anyway i am wondering if this can be fixed or would the whole attachment have to be changed? thanks

It's hard to tell, but it looks like the right side of the buckle/pin attachment area is gone. Probably have to replace the attachment.

I agree, the arm looks broke off. Just buy a new lower latch( http://salvodiving.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=281) and replace it. Just be careful not to strip the threads in the delrin when reinstalling the screws.

It's Salvo, they'd probably just send you one for free even if you're out of warranty.

it takes a great force to dislodge that pin, ive observed it many times and it looks bulletproof.

Dwain is no longer with Salvo. Some of the Salvo customer service stuff is now handled by Corey.

emailed salvo and jim. think its sorrted out already. i suspect the guys at customs tried to pry the damn thing open becasue they couldnt figure out how to work the latches. its happend before
