Cleaning corrosion out of flashlight

I have a small UK mini Q40. It seems that either some water got in the flashlight or the battries leaked a little. I am assuming that it was a little of both. My question is how do i clean out the corrosion? Some of it is close to the LED and i do not want to damage the LED. Does UK stand behind their products? What are the chances of me getting a new flashlight from UK?
