I'm trying to build a canister light, I already got all the PVC I need
I just need all the other part like those metal things that keep the
Canister closed (like in the diverite lights), the cord and the connectors to the canister and the lighthead and the water proof switch.
I would have liked to build an HID light, but everyone I talk to said that it doesn’t worth the hassle and the expensive parts.
What do you think?
Do you know where to get proper 10w ballast and the bolt for
Reasonable prices?
My experience teaches me to try and get those parts from out side the diving industry, just the word diving in spare part add 50% to the price, and that sucks!
As for HID I think there is a user group set-up somewhere (yahoo or google) with all you need to know. I'd suggest making a halogen one first and if it works then make an HID as markII.
