Hi guys, Putting the finishing touches on my gear for my upcoming trip, change out the batteries in my UK Dive sun and now have a problem. Could not get it to come on with the gasget in. Without the gasket it lights up... Short of putting some real muscle to it, I'm out of ideas. I do't want to strip the darn thing... Thoughts... Anybody??? Please?

It sounds like the batteries aren't making good contact with the circuit with the gasket in.

If you have springs see if you can stretch them out to make better contact with the batteries.

Don't mean to sound like a dick, but if it worked before and the only thing you've done (assuming same size batteries) is change batteries, then that is the cause of the issue. Something is different or you have assembled something different. I'd double check everything before you start bending/stretching springs etc. Is the gasket seated properly? Sounds like it's not. By stretching the spring you my indeed get the light to turn on but if the issue is gasket related you could well flood the light. Good luck.
