The Aggressor Fleet, Dancer Fleet and Gates Underwater Products are pleased to announce this 1st annual Underwater Video Challenge. Open to all underwater videographers from amateur to pro, we want to see your best benthic behaviors, astonishing action and splendid sequences.
Over $21,000 in prizes to the top 4 entries include a free trip aboard any Aggressor or Dancer Fleet Yachts and 2 free trips if the winning entry was shot during an Aggressor/Dancer charter. Gates HF-S21 housings are awarded to the top 2 entries plus ports, accessories, and lights for the 1st place winner if captured with a Gates. Additional prizes from our supporting sponsors Backscatter and H2O Photo Pros include gift cards and equipment prizes.
Exhibiting sponsor San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition (SDUFEX) will showcase the winning entry at the prestigious Qualcomm Hall in the summer 2011.
Submission Dates: Now through.Dec.31st 2010.
Submission Guidelines:
Fee: No fee for entering competition.
Length: 5 minute edited piece.
Content: Minimum of 50% of video must be underwater.
Minimum of 50% original footage that has not been submitted to other competitions / Venues.
Videos must not show harassment of marine life.
Resolution: All entries are to be submitted at full resolution up to 1920X1080.
Format: mov (including FCP Prores), m4v, flv, f4v, avi, wmv, mp4, mpeg-2 or mpeg-4.
Media: DVD (data), Blu-Ray (data), Hard Drive / Flash Drive, or SD Card.
Submission: All entries must be received no later than January 20, 2011
