Duck Feet were the only fin of choice for Navy Divers. Nothing was more powerful. A very nice fin indeed but you need some good healthy legs to get the most out of them.

I think you'll find a mono-fin too restrictive for Scuba.

Alot of surf shops in Nor-Ca. sell mono fins for river and body boarders.. there are also fins out there that are like single foot (conventional) fins that can be kicked together like a mono fin forming a large v shape like you referenced.
