A few days ago, I bought a pair of used ScubaPro Jet Fins for $10. The reason it is so cheap is because the straps are broken. I would replace the rubber straps with spring straps even if the straps are not broken.

Anyway, I would like to make myself a pair of DIY bungee strap. I got the bungee already.

After breaking a buckle trying to remove it (tried not breaking it, but failed) to slide the bungee on, I realized that by simply creating a loop. I can tie the bungee onto the stock buckle with zap strap...

Anyway, here is the finished product. I tried it on my bootie and it work.

Anyway, I am now short whatever it cost to buy a new factory buckle. :( Or make my own buckle (which I am not comfortable with)... I measured the pin and it is 2mm wide. If I go and find some metal wire and make my own "C", will it be sturdy enough?
