I was reading a different thread, and it made me start to wonder about the abysmal state of our ocean's ecosystems. For some of you marine biologists out there I have a question or rather a series of questions for you. For one, at the current rate of fishing, how much longer before we reach a state of complete collapse? Also, do you think that with the popularity of diving, do you think that we are becoming our own worst enemy? By that I mean we have all heard horror stories of anchors dropping on reefs, gear dangling around and standing on coral etc. This isn't something to stir the pot, but rather to stir your thoughts.
