Just wondering if any has gone on any trips that feature diving with humpback whales?

In Hawaii, boats that get within 100 (200?) yards of a humpback must shut down engines and wait until they leave. You can hear them on almost every dive in Maui January - April, but sightings while underwater are very rare.
You might have better luck in the Sea of Cortez, where regulations are much looser.

these guys are the greatest. I've seen video shot where the babies was so close you would not get a full head shot with a 14mm lens
