Anyone here seen this White Humpback Whale?

I saw an article about this White Humpback whale in a small CLUB Newspaper.

"As the temperature drops in the southern states of Australia and the winter chill sets in, the Tweed (on the Gold Coast) is set to welcome some glorious winter sunshine. Locals are also gearing up for the annual migration of visitors from down south... no, not from Victoria.. from the Antartictic... the Humpback Whales.

One of the tourist whale watching boats has sighted Migaloo two years running. Migaloo is a 14 metre, 35 tonne, pure white whale.

Migaloo is the only documented white humback whale in the world. The name "Migaloo" is aboriginal for "white fella". He was first observed in 1991 off Byron Bay ( where we go diving ) when he was estimated to be 3-5 years of age.

Yep I have had the great pleasure of seeing Migaloo off Byron Bay in 2003, also had humpbacks swim within hand reach distance of our Dive Boat on many occasions.
Might be the last time ever though.

The Japanese are lobbying to get the Humpback whale back onto their killing list. For scientific purposes of course, but hey why waste good meat they can eat it too...
