Over the past few years I've heard about how amazing red lights work on night dives and how the fish dont notice the light. That octopus just continue making their way around hunting, not paying attention at all to the light, etc.

Has anyone used a red torch at night? Was there a noticeable difference?

I'm planning on doing a DIY removable filter for my torch but was wondering how well it works before doing so.
