I just read the thread by scharmack 'Sunrise beach Thieves' and was wondering what the local fishing laws are in other areas. Down here we can take a few thing if you have a license, no spear fishing, and these are policed. The fisheries department will confiscate dive gear, and other equipment used such as a car for transport the illegal catch. We have problems with abalone poachers.
