    I have a PhD in deep-sea ecology, which is useless for scuba diving. So for *fun*, I lead coral reef ecology programs in the west Atlantic, and perform volunteer eco-diving locally. My underwater photography skills focus excessively on boring objects and plants.

    I'm also a recovering scubaboard addict.
