- I first certified in 1990 on Terceira, the Azores, Portugal while in the military. Since then, I've logged 235+ dives in locations from Illinois to Florida to North Carolina. I'll dive a quarry or lake in a pinch but I love open ocean. Night dives are among my favorites.

- Old school - Except for my wetsuit most of my gear is at least 15 years old. It looks every bit of it's age but proper and religious maintenance keeps it functioning perfectly. That and rinsing it well every trip. My BCD is NOT bladder-less and does get some interesting looks from newer divers when I'm on a charter.
