I was born in Indonesia and I always love the ocean. I was lucky enough when I was young my uncle owned Melintang island in thousand island area north of Jakarta. I started scuba dive when I was 10 years old and boy, back then the coral reefs was awesome. I was ignorant and I didn't have any certification. My mom brought me to scuba club but PADI could not enrolled me since I was below minimum aged. The island always have full scuba gear and I dove without any BC or wetsuit. I dove just with my trunk, AL80, fin, mask and snorkel. During the financial crisis the island was sold and I decided to take PADI in 2002.
I have been diving around Monterey at least twice a month when the swell condition is reasonable. I usually dive early morning (in the water by 7:30 am) since I go back to my work in a semiconductor company. I spend time with my family during the weekend so very rare weekend trip.
