I have been dissabled since Oct 2007 from a fall I took while hiking in a FL state park. I have ruptured disks in my lower back. I have found that my only sport I have left that I can do is Diving! I have the divemaster get my gear on boat, then when I am ready to get in water they take my gear to the back of the boat where I sit down on dive platform and don my gear and off I go. When I come up I remove my gear in the water and the divemaster lifts it out of the water and back to my seat. I have devised a pulley lift system to get my tanks and gear bag out of my van, and I have made a cart to tote gear on the sand for beach dives. It is amaizing how fast ones life can change in second. I would have never imagined an accident like this could have happened to me, but after a year I am finally getting adjusted to all the things I can't do. I am striving to live to the fullest with what I can do. Always follow your dream.
