As a teenager, I spent a summer in France and learned how to dive in the Med with an old crusty fellow named Claude Vergé, who looked a bit like another rather famous French diver. About 15 years later, my father took up diving and I was able to get back into the sport - I had to relearn all the equipment names in English and also figure out how to operate a BC, octo, and SPG! (Where did my J-valve go?!) Now my wife is also certified and we're enjoying exploring as many tropical destinations as our schedules and budgets will allow!
