I am a US Army Warrant Officer with 15 years of service. Originally from upstate NY, I have lived all over the United States and have spent a great deal of time in the Middle East.
When not diving, I love surfing, backpacking, trail running, cycling, and a variety of outdoor activities. Aside from that, I’m a fairly normal guy who likes to have a cold beer, shoot some pool, listen to live music, etc.
Location:
Columbia, MD
Interests:
Hiking, extended backpacking, camping, running, cycling, volunteer work, the environment, and sometimes just being lazy with a cold beer
Occupation:
Warrant Officer - US Army
Gender:
Male
Certification Agencies:
NAUI , LACS, PADI, SDI
Dive History:
I initially learned to dive in Qatar in 1999, and after having been out of the water for several years due to service obligations, frequent moves, the theft of my gear, and other reasons, started diving again in June 2009. I have decided to commit myself to becoming very active in diving, with a goal of becoming a dive professional upon retirement from the military in 6 years. My personal goal is to dive at least two weekends per month year round until that time to build experience in a variety of settings and with a wide range of equipment.
Most of my current diving is conducted in a drysuit in the cold, murky waters of the various quarries in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, although I am managing to squeeze in the occasional wreck dive off the coast of NC, Ocean City, and hopefully NJ in the near future. I’m basically down for anything within driving distance, and am available most weekends, so if you’re looking to go diving, get in touch!
