John Griffith, 40 years old, retired US Army. Spent my formative years growing up all over the world, learned to dive in Hawaii in the late 1970's and early 1980's in Virginia Beach area. Did some diving while in the Army (cold, dark, scary) and jumped out of a lot of aircraft. Received my current certifications vis a vis NAUI, O/W, Advanced, Rescue, Advanced Rescue, Deep, Night, Master, Nitrox, Dry Suit, etc. Work as a commercial diver/ tender with Webb Diving Services part-time as well.

They are Honey Nut Cheerios. Just kidding...but they appear to be a cluster of coral polyps within the barrel of a sponge...different and weird. I will look this up in a couple of books I have and see what I can find to match.
