Sometimes the Cooper produces, sometimes it does not. As of late I have finally convinced my dive pal/boat captain/multiple boat owner/river guide, that the "Edisto" river is the place to go. It is by far a much "friendlier" river than the Cooper. My other Captain (that runs Cooper river charters) is slam booked right now and I think his first openings are late Sept and the first of Oct. His boat is MUCH larger and he cannot run the Edisto. I can give you information on two dive charter boats that are currently running the Cooper river. My pals Edisto boat is down right now. The reality of fossiling is one never knows what they will find or if they will even find anything at all. Below are some videos of the Edisto. The Edisto is becoming my favorite river. Until I can make arrangements to fossil the Edisto river, will I dive the Cooper river instead? YES..
