yeah but Superior can be a very cold, dark place when she wants. I dove at the Straits of Mackinac 2 summers ago and that is quite impressive. We had about 80-90 feet of visibility at the Eber Ward wreck.(youtube it, there are some good ones of that)

    Is Jocassee a natural lake?

Doubtful I'll get in any warm water diving this year. The lakes might hit 60 in late summer but the vis is crap so we stick to the deep cold mine pits and Lake Superior.

Wow, had no idea divers really did that. thats awesome. Yeah, my strategy was keep my eyes on craigslist or other sites of the like to find good deals on certain equipment. For example, i found a 3000AL tank for $20. I regret not buying it, but just got no cash to spend at the moment. As far as companies go, i dont really know which brands are the best or not. Really the only brands i can tell you off the top of my head are the big ones like Aqualung or USDivers. Im not even sure what type of tank i should get. Esspecially with me having a 7mm farmer john combo. People have told me to keep an eye out for a steel tank so i wont have to wear a ton of weight. Thanks for the advice, its good to have someone who reallly knows what there doing offering it. much appreciated, really.

Biography:
I am a Christian and as often as I fall trying to remain true to my faith (by doing things on my own rather than trusting God), it is a worthy endeavor. I am an avid outdoors man. I love a good challenge though it sometimes makes me a bit hard headed. My wife is the love of my life and I am eternally grateful for her helping hand through my self-inflicted ignorance. I love to get together with people in person. Do not hesitate to contact me, lets go meet and do something outside.
