Biography:

Semi-retired recreational diver in Thailand. No ambition to be a "PADI Pro", don't need the money and don't need to hustle students. Not interested in scuba gossip or A&I speculation. I am fact-oriented. I dive where I want, when I want, and don't dive or spend money where the service is not top quality. I don't need to work in Thailand and only spend money here (with top quality, ethical dive centers). Not interested in business opportunities or work in Thailand. Don't have time for the many foreign sociopaths and hustlers that live and work in Thailand. I speak Thai pretty well (learned formally many years ago) and can read and spell Thai, not bad, just OK. Have been coming to Thailand since 1981, so I know the country, customs and people quite well. Currently, lived here over three years. Just got back into diving, but was originally OW certified around 1982. I think all posters on ScubaBoard should follow the TOS, which they agreed to when they signed up. There is way too much childish personal attacks by "professionals" in the Thailand forum. I hope moderation will improve someday, but I'm not holding my breath. Too many small minded, scuba hustlers in the Thailand forum and not enough actual divers who are customers; which makes the forums both territorial and boring. I'll probably stop posting here unless the Thailand forum is moderated and the sociopaths who post here, banned forever.
