I got hooked on diving when on vacation at Punt Cana Dominican Republic, My resort course dive instructor took me to an amazing spot, even though it was only about 25' deep. She saw that I got my neutral bouyancy under control within about 5 mins of bottom time. So she took me to a swim through on the sea floor. It was about 45' long and lead to a circular opening in the coral that was about 25' in diameter. It reminded me of a throne room with all the brilliant colors that coral can come up with. Not to mention the most beautiful colored tropical fish swimming around in there. It was awesome! That was Feb of 03. I got certified in October that year. I love tropical dives. I dont really care for cold water (lake) dives but they are more fun than not diving at all.
