I have wanted to get certified since I was very young, but I just did it 11/2006. I'm an adult, but I don't want to categorize myself by age. I hope to find a dive buddy (male, or female) in my area through this website. I am a slightly overweight male, but physically active and otherwise in excellent health. I am happily married, but my wife is slightly afraid of the water due to a near drowning incident. I have a 14ft "John" boat and expect to use it for diving eventually. I have snorkeled for many years; my most memorable experience was snorkeling with Manatees in central Florida. I also got to snorkel with real live mermaids in Weeki Wachee springs Florida. I am looking forward to sharing experiences online and underwater using this website. I guess that’s it for now; see you in cyberspace, or innerspace.

Dive History:
My first openwater dives were in the Florida intercoastal waterway adjacent to Palm Beach Inlet. My certification dives were off a dive boat (Serena) on the reefs of Palm Beach. I have brought a camera with me on all my dives so far and I intend to continue to do so as long as I dive. I found a 35mm camera/housing combination at a local drug store that is rated for 30m deep and was only around $20. As I progress in my dive skills I will update my equipment all around. For now I rent my actual scuba gear, but have my own snorkeling gear, scuba fins and wetsuit. I will always be on the look out for good used gear (except I’ll only buy a new regulator) unless I hit the lottery.

As of 02/2007 I'm just certified as a level 1 sport diver.
