After supplying your previous diving history, I'll second the suggestion of Tobago (Speyside North end). It is simply not a place for new divers, but...
I've been diving for two years now with over 50 dives now so I think I can remove the title of "new" diver. I do most of my diving in the west michigan area but love to travel. I do a lot of great lakes diving and am affiliated with the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew group on this site. As for travel, I have dove in Florida, Cozumel, and most recently Hawaii!
