    Hi Elena,

Just got off the phone with Phil.

He suggested I talk with you about working with you guys at the shop on teaching photography for you. I am a PADI divemaster, and can teach the specialty course. Lots of possibilities, I think.

    Hi Elena,

I sent the permission group request in last week for the Authors group. Can you check on that? Maybe I did it wrong.

So how's the B-day Bash looking?? I'm signed up, deposit in and payment plan in the works. Bro John is to afraid to commit for fear of his back giving out.

Terry read about that boat that went down in the Sea. 105' long, steel hull...... sounds like the dive boat... she says if I don't come back she is going to kill me...

Looking forward to it. Think I will fly to PHX and take the shuttle down. It's an 8 hour drive, half of which is through Mexico.. Naaa.

    Thanks for the invite

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Committee - my insiders perspective.

by mselenaous on August 5th, 2014 at 03:17 PM
A couple of years ago, I heard the FKNMS was calling for volunteers to be on their Advisory Committee to assist in the process of adding more SPA areas. At the time, I was super busy and the deadline fly past me, but a couple of friends and a few local collogues were on the SAC. Fast forward to last month, one of those friends let me know there was an opening due to a resignation and recommended that I should apply. So I went to their website, read up, and emailed them all the information they

A Sad Day for ScubaBoard

by mselenaous on October 8th, 2013 at 10:06 PM
This morning, I like many other ScubaBoarders awoke to the sad news that one of our own had died while diving. While these incidents do happen from time to time, we were all stunned that is was Marcia Fisk Ong, known as Quero. I’ve spent the day dumbfounded reflecting on this lovely lady’s impact on ScubaBoard, the dive community, and to me. Quero in Portugese means: “like, want; will, desire; love”, and she loved life. Quero, a trusted Advisor, was a mentor to Scubaboard staff as well as anyone

A Dive Instructor's Job Never Ends...

by mselenaous on September 1st, 2013 at 06:59 PM
For weeks, I have been busy setting up my own website for the first time and it's been a learning experience through alot of trial and error. It occurred to me that being a dive instructor has included not only teaching, but at times has also included: boat mate, boat driver, deck swabby, tank filler, gas blender, tank hauler, family counselor, phobia therapist, teacher, coach, mentor, nurse, mother, confessor, adviser, accountant, writer, editor, gear trouble-shooter, social media poster & coach,
