  1. Well, I lost my Inon 165AD also and it sat in the Atlantic for three days before being found and returned to me. The heavy seas had the boat come up as I went down hitting the lens and knocking it off. No, none of the adapters are super secure, you should tether the lens using nylon cord or bungee and a nylon tie strap if possible.

The adapter you mention, I have not had any real issues with it but right now I am using the 67mm Dyron adapter instead of the 67mm FIX adapter (I assume you have) both with a 10Bar (or my DIY version) AD to 67mm adapter together.

BTW, if I had hit any dome port or Nikonos lens I have ever had as hard as my Inon was hit on my FIX90 housing, something would have broken so I am not really going to cry to much over the various adapters, they work as well or better than other equipment I have owned previously.

  2. Hi Nemrod, following on from a post you put up on a thread about carry on luggage. I see you have a Fix S90 (Or S95?) housing, i have the same setup, but have found i've had issues with the terribly designed and expensive addon to attach wet lenses. I actually lost my Inon 165 fisheye on the Barrier reef (only to be found by someone the next day! Phew!) as it fell off. Have you had any similar issues? or any advice on how to avoid the same happening again?
    cheers
    Phil
