Biography:

Old rugby player who now believes he is descended from manatees and was not meant to be a land mammal.

I teach undergraduate earth systems science courses to non-science majors. Interests in land use, hazards, and policy. If you look at my dive destinations volcanic islands are also a major component.

I rarely stay at dive resorts and spend my non diving time roaming around the countryside and talking to the locals. Since i live in an area inundated by tourists 10 months of the year I am sensitive to locals and local issues.

Learned to dive in OZ. I've also been to Fiji, Krabi, NZ, Cozumel, Old Providencia Isle, Bequia, Saba, Bonaire. I relax when i dive. I'm planning to visit a large segment of the SP and SEA in 2011.
