About Seabase
Biography:
Living in Orlando Florida, I am married and my wife is also a diver.
Location:
Orlando, Florida
Interests:
Photography, avid boater
Occupation:
Manage gated communities-Property Management
Gender:
Male
Certification Agencies:
YMCA, NASDS, SSI
Dive History:
I have been certified since 1973 (ouch!) and have been actively diving all these years. Not into techie stuff anymore, I just like REAL shipwrecks (Andrea Doria, Empress of ireland, Eastcliffe Hall, The Henry C. Daria, etc, as opposed to the artificial reef type wrecks. My diving began in NY in the St. Lawrence river, Lake Ontario, etc. I found 4-5 virgin wrecks in my time and have a treasure trove of interesting "things". We have friends with side-scan sonar, so we'll see what 2011 brings in the way of wrecks. I owned a dive operation in the 1,000 islands for many years 1973-1980, but I am now hooked on Live-aboard vacations! I have 4500 logged dives, but since I haven't logged any dives since the 80's who knows. I've dove with people that have 8,000 logged dives and they scare me.....so what's it matter, it's just a silly number.

I've never really been interested in Cave diving, but I like the pictures and deep diving is over for me because of age and I've smartened up....
Certification History:
YMCA-NASDS-SSI. Instructed for many years, especially at Universities (Syracuse, Oswego State, Colgate University and a few more) Teaching in universities in your twenties has to be the ultimate!

# of Logged Dives:
5,000 - ∞
Dive Classification:
Instructor / Assistant Instructor / Dive Master / Dive Con

Dive Equipment:
My wife and I use Zeagle equipment. They stand behind their equipment, so I've stuck with them for 20 years. I have Sea-Life photo equipment DC1200 and also have a GoPro video cam.
