Born in Portland, Oregon. Grew up in the water snorkeling and skiing. Joined the US Air Force in 1975, retired in 1996. The Air Force drug me kicking and screaming to Arizona, but I fell in love with the blue skies and dry heat. I doubt I will ever leave Tucson. In 2006, I was laid off, decided to use the 'vacation' to get certified. One of my defining moments.
Update: Ok, I moved to Sahuarita, it's just South of Tucson and 30 minutes closer to the beach. It really pays off late Sunday night during the drive home after a weekend of diving.
I didn't get to dive much the first year I was certified, but since then...
Most of my diving has been in San Carlos, Mexico. My first exotic dive trip was to Bonaire, NA. Absolutely, fabulous diving.

…when you finally see what goes on underwater, you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent. ~Dave Barry
If Damselfish had teeth, nobody would swim in the ocean...
Saw a Finback Whale... they look big on TV... but when you are next to them in real life, THEY ARE BIG and so beautiful!
