    Uwe Rath starts the new Gri Gri Divers Internship program for 2012
    The program will include also the first steps into technical diving.
    Only Gri Gri Divers and Uwe Rath, as the only TDI and PADI Tec Rec Center on the island can offer you this Training.

    Uwe with 20 years in the country and more than 53 Instructor Certifications is one of the highest certified Tec Instructor in the Dominican Republic. In 2011 he got from TDI the outstanding Instructor Award in recognition of exceptional technical diving instructions.
    Also Gri Gri Divers got in 2010 and 2011 from PADI the Diver Retention Award as the only Dive Center in the Dominican Republic.

    Start your Internship with well known people in the Dive industrie and not with some newcomers they like to have only your money and give you nothing else.

Dive History:
I am a certified diver since 1982 and I have logged more than 12.000 dives, with 7500 of them made here in the Dominican Republic. In 1992, I moved to the Dominican Republic from Egypt. Almost immediately, I found that the DR was home to some amazing undiscovered cave systems. Without the benefits of formal cave training and dealing with the limits of my equipment, I became one of the first pioneers of cave diving here in the Dominican Republic.
Caves became my passion and I went on to discover and explore numerous cave systems, including the island's largest underwater cave.
I became a valued consultant for Dominican cave explorers, and became a professional cave instructor.
Certification History:
PADI Master Instructor, EFR Instructor, CMAS 3 star instructor, CMAS Full Cave Instructor, an SDI/ TDI Instructor Trainer, as well as a TDI Full Cave, Trimix, and Rebreather Instructor.
