    Hi Zak

I bought my Icon HD in Florida (07 Jan 2010).

In April 2011 my HD started acting screwy. I will get on 33% a message clean contacts before charging. But then HD was totally dead. Just switching off. I have to contact Mares rep (Scott Cook) and after short discuss he advice me to bring my HD to local dealer as a fastest way to reach a Manufacturer (I was then in Moscow, Russia). It was 3 months ago !!! Until now I've got no any additional info about my HD or any service dates, on any question answer is "It still in Italy, we haven't no any more info for you" ... And one more, they said to me "it will be repair for money because you bought your HD in USA, not in Russia." my question is could you help me with any assistance to find my HD in Italy (by serial number or any another way) because I cannot find any ways to contact directly to Mares Europe. And second question (of course) about warranty, it's really not worldwide ?

Zak... I have recently purchased a Dragon BCD... The website shows it comes with knife grommets, yet i can not locate any on the BCD. Can you advised if this is a misprint on the website?

Hi Zak, think I've got it sorted - Richard Corner (head UK) confirmed that they would match the German price. (I guesstimated the the conversion wrong as well - the true difference was £92)
hopefully I'll get the new comp and transmitter before the next dives (or else I'm back to tables and stopwatch - having surrenderred my original Icon)
Do you know why Mares are stressing that the transmitter will be bi-directional - what can the tranmitter do with info from the computer ?
    Thanks again for your support,
    Gareth

Hello, I am looking into buying the Mares ICON BCD. 2 questions 1.) the icon is NOT a discontinued product, right? 2.) Leisure Pro is a authorized Mares dealer, and certified Mares Dealers should respect the warranty, right?

    Thanks so much

Hi Zak, just started looking around for my Icon Hd upgrade.
It seems that the UK resellers have been given a £400 rrp, but our european neighbours only have to pay €350 (approx £325).
I am aware that UK tax is 1% higher but that doesn't come anywhere near £75.
I also know that you have little or nothing to do with Europe however you have been and remain to be the only reliable contact for Mares. Could you please forward any solid contact details you may have for european reps.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gareth

Hi Zak, I'm new to diving, still working on my ocean diver training and I recently bought some 2nd hand kit, all Mares. I've had the regs serviced and all is good there but the Airtrim Vector 1000 isn't. i was advised the kit had only been used about 50 times in warm water by a part time dive instructor - it does look in good condition and I've received all the user manuals, but hasn't been used for about a year. The problem is the 'hub' doesn't seem to deflate, some air (intermittantly) seeps from the hub itself.
My local dive shop says get rid, they're rubbish, but I like the positioning of the button so am keen to use it and make my own mind up. So, any advice on how best to tackle this and whether it's likely to be an expensive fix?

    Thanks in advance

ps despite being in the UK you seem to be the only Mares rep that chats and I've struggled to find a Mares contact on the website - so hope you can help.

Hi Zak, I just purchased a pair of new small size Raptor fins for my daughter. They have the letter R on the base of the footpocket. The bloke that sold them to me said the R meant this was for the right foot. This does not sound right. My daughter takes a size female 7 UK, or 8 US, with her boot right in the footpocket, with the straps pulled tight. Are these a regular size?

    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi Zak,
I just updated my IconHD firmware version from 2.0 to 2.01. Is there anywhere I can find what was changed in the update?
