My wife and I recently spent a week down in Playa (11/25 - 12-2) and dove 5 days with Jason at Fantasea. Most of the dives were local but we also dove 1 day up at Puerta Morelos. The water conditions were good with temps running between 80-82 degrees and average visibility around 60 feet or so. In fact most days is was warmer under water than it was topside. The diving was really good with lots of sea life. We saw eagle rays, turtles, sting rays, lots of large eels, and so many large schools of fish it was crazy...oh, and did I mention sharks? We also did the bull shark dive and were fortunate enough to have about 15 sharks with us for the entire dive. It was one of my reasons for wanting to go to Playa at this time of year, and the dive was great.

As for Jason at Fantasea, I can't say enough great things. A couple of the days it was just Jason, me, and my wife, and the other days when there were other people on the boat, it was still just the 3 of us diving together. Jason is very attentive, safety conscious, and focused on making sure you have the best possible dive experience. I would strongly recommend Jason to anyone looking for dive operator in the Playa area.
