As mentioned elsewhere, the reason I chose May to go on a liveabaord cruise to Socorro islands is that I wanted to give myself the best chance of seeing hammerhead sharks more than any other animal. So that part is OK and no regrets. I know that we are going to see giant manta rays, other types of sharks, moray eels and maybe octopi. Butwhat I want to know is the chance of seeing critters that are not usually seen in May - humpback whales (too late?) and whale sharks (too early?)
