I have dove the cenotes near Playa del Carmen on numerous occasions and love them.

I have read that there are other worthwhile cenote dives in the northern Yucatan near Valladolid.

If anyone has any information and comments about the names and locations it will be greatly appreciated.

There are some you can swim in, but I don't know of any tourist scuba diving around there. Qualified researchers have dove some.

The best person to answer your question is Hilario Hiler. Hilario did a lot of cave diving in the early days and has a cenotes or two named after him. I haven't talked with him in over 10 years but I think he is still in Akumal. This is what I came up with for contact info, Hilario Hiler | Akumal Direct Reservations | ZoomInfo.com
