Why do I take more gear to a
Gilboa Quarry Trip than I do
for a cave diving trip to
    Florida????

    Underwater Hockey.

At the last MLDA meeting there was discussion of interest in playing Underwater Hockey at pool nights. At the time I had not heard of it before. Well a quick search online and found a video on YouTube.

    YouTube - Underwater Hockey

I think this would be a ton of fun to play on scuba (would hopefully be a little less chaotic with people on scuba as well).

    Enjoy the vid!

I've played a few times here at UI, it's a blast!

Using old skool scuba gear (no BC) would be a bunch of fun too.

Not to dissuade you, but underwater hockey on SCUBA is rough and ugly. Players can't move fast enough! It ends up in a big tussle instead of a freely flowing game. My underwater hockey team once challenged the SCUBA team to a game. They though that using SCUBA, they'd have the advangtage. Trouble was that they were way too slow for us. But I'd love to see another rematch. Or you guys could just play UWH without the SCUBA gear.

    Have fun!
